Beginner and intermediate cycling clinics with attention to the fine details. Learn to cycle in triathlon and focus on your form the same way as in swimming.

Build your confidence and learn the proper techniques to cycle in groups, by yourself, up hills and around curves. Session will include gears, cornering and bike etiquette, body positioning, stretching, visualizing, brick workouts (bike plus run)

Learn how you can enjoy the bike portion of a triathlon and be prepared for your next big event!

Beginner Cycling

Mountain bikes allowed

This program is designed for the rider that would like an introduction to basic techniques used in a triathlon race.  The sessions are geared for people that would like to train in preparation for the Kamloops Spring Sprint but all beginners are welcome.
Format  – Meet at the Westsyde Pool and Community Centre

½ hour – 45 minute talk plus ½ – 45 minute ride

Intermediate Cycling

Road bike recommended.

This program is designed for the rider that would like to further their basic cycling skills used in a triathlon race.  The sessions are geared for people that completed the Spring Sprint and want to take their biking skills to the next level.  Sessions include tire changing, hill climbing, downhill and cornering rides.
Format – Meet at the various locations
½ hour – 45 minute talk plus ½ – 45 minute ride
